Athletics for all ages and abilities
Mentone Track and Field Centre (also known as Dolamore) is the home of Mentone Athletics, providing a high quality outdoor athletic track with an all-weather synthetic surface for athletes of all ages and abilities.
Located at Queen Street, Mentone, Victoria, Australia the facility is managed by the Mentone Track and Field Centre Inc. (MTFC) committee on behalf of three member-clubs and the City of Kingston.
The Centre provides for training and competition for all track and field events and is:
Open 24 hours a day for casual recreation use by Kingston residents.
The home training track for the member clubs:
The centre of Little Athletics competition on most Saturdays during the summer period.
Hired out to more than 20 schools for competitions and training.
Utilised for selected Victorian championship events.
Utilised every Wednesday evening for Mentone Masters Athletics (over 35 years) competition
The MTFC has also established the Mentone Athletics Development Foundation to further the development of athletes and facilities into the future. Donations made through the Australian Sports Foundation are tax deductible.
MTFC and the clubs are grateful to Kingston Council and our many supporters for their contributions. In particular, we thank Parkdale Community Bank which has been an great supporter of Mentone Athletics.
With a view to the future, we have established a number of strategic priorities for the development of the Centre, which we hope to progress in the coming years. These focus on track lighting, storage and upgraded pavilion.
We also acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which the Centre is located, the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation and pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging and acknowledge the continuing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to their land, culture, and community.
